Step 1 — Choose the field
For your background + physical job interest, these are the best options:
- ⭐ Manufacturing (Pabrik / Seizou) — easiest + fastest to get into
- ⭐ Caregiver (Kaigo) — high demand and higher pay
- ⭐ Food processing — stable and often hiring
Other possible fields:
- Hotel
- Agriculture
- Cleaning
Step 2 — Take the SSW Skill Test
You already have the language skills, so next is the SSW skill exam for your chosen field.
Example (Manufacturing):
- Skill exam: SSW Industrial Machinery Test
- Duration: 1 day
- Pass rate: generally good for Indonesian applicants
Step 3 — Register with a Licensed Sending Agency (IMTA / BP2MI)
Avoid informal or "mafia" agencies. Use:
- Legal BP2MI partner agencies
- Or Japanese employers who hire directly
You can tell me your city and I can recommend the safest types of agencies.
Step 4 — Interview with Japanese company
Interview usually covers simple conversation and work attitude:
- Japanese self-introduction
- Why you want to work in Japan
- Willingness for physical jobs
- Basic work attitude tests
N3 will impress them — they generally expect N4, so N3 is above average.
Step 5 — COE + Visa Processing
Employer submits documents → Immigration Japan → COE issued in ~1–2 months.
Step 6 — Fly to Japan
Bring these documents and items when entering:
- SSW Visa
- Contract
- Address of company dorm
- Then start working
